Apr 10, 2018Wilson, 57, of West Lafayette, formerly of Brook, IN, passed away on Monday, Feb. 19, 2018 in Land O Lakes, Wis. due to a snowmobile accident.Mike was born February 14, 1961 in Brook, Indiana to the late Janice and David Wilson. He graduated from South Newton High School class of 1979 and from Ball State University class of 1983. He married Kathi J. Anderson Wilson on Sept. 3, 1983 in Brook, and she preceded him in death February 2l, 2013 in their home in West Lafayette, IN. Mike was the proud parent of two daughters, Valeri N. Marinakis, (husband, John), Washinton, IL and Kristi B. Wilson, San Francisco, CA and they survive. Also Surviving are3 grandchildren, Kingston K. Marinakis, Madelyn N. Marinakis and Eliazabeth J. Marinakis, 2 sisters Gail MacIntyre, (husband, Richard) West Lafayette, IN and Becky A. Craig, (husband, Curt), West Lafayette, Indiana, step-mother Judy Wilson, Brook, IN and his companion, Louanne Watt, West Lafayette, IN and several nieces and nephews.Mike was a partner in Tri-Teck Construction, Heartland Excavating, and Wilson Crane for 30 years. Mike loved his family more than anything always organizing trips us to get together and planning adventures with his partner Louanne. Boating down at Lake Cumberland, skiing, snowmobiling, hunting, teaching his grandkids how to ski. He spent his weekends going to watch his grandson wrestle and granddaughter play softball in Washington, IL, where his daughter Valeri lives with her family. He picked up the travel bug from his wife Kathi and later traveled around the world on adventures with his daughter Kristi. He was a member of Faith Church, spent evenings mentoring the youth at Wednesday Night Kids of Faith and used his experience with the passing of his wife Kathi to help others in the church through Cancer Ministries get through the trials that come with cancer.
